Paul Herman van Dantzig was een zoon van David van Dantzig en Wilhelmina Catz. Paul Hermann heeft twee maal geprobeerd naar Engeland over te steken. De eerste maal met een boot via de Noordzee. De tweede maal via België en Frankrijk. Bij deze poging is hij verraden. Toevoeging van een bezoeker van de website Paul van Dantzig heeft tijdens de oorlog geprobeerd naar veiliger oorden te vluchten. Hij is in Frankrijk opgepakt. Op 11 februari 1943 is hij samen met een aantal andere gezinsleden, via het doorgangskamp Drancy naar Auschwitz gedeporteerd. Toevoeging van een bezoeker van de website De Commissaris van Politie van Delft verzocht opsporing, aanhouding en voorgeleiding van Paul Herman van Dantzig, student. Hij was woonachtig in Delft. Hij werd er van verdacht van woonplaats te zijn veranderd zonder daartoe de vereiste vergunning te hebben. Met deze omschrijving werden joden aangeduid die waren ondergedoken.
