Allen "Rich" Richmond Leflar II, 67, a resident if the Beaverton community passed away on October 1, 2017 at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland.
Rich was born on December 23, 1949 in Bayonne, NY. He was the second of two children born to Allen R. and Elaine (Douglas) Leflar. He was raised in Rhode Island and moved to the Portland area in 1959. He attended Wilson High School and graduated with the Class of 1967.
He enlisted into the US Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War.
Rich continued to live in the Portland Metro area all of his life. He had worked as a general manager for Tony Roma's, Beef and Brew and for the past fifteen years has been self employed as a Manager/Dispatcher of 1st American Pilot Cars.
He met his long time partner, Dennis Denton, through mutual friends and they have been a couple for over 45 years.
Rich enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, fine wine and good dining. He also liked to listen to soft rock, loved his dogs and was a very outgoing person.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Virginia "Gini" Vandehey.
He is survived by his partner; Dennis Denton of Beaverton, his three nieces and their spouses; Colleen Utter of Tigard, Laurie and John Sutton of Beaverton, Carey and Jeff Peede of Michigan, five grand nieces and nephews; Ryan, Morgan, Jereme, Melissa, Alec and three great grand nieces and nephews; Quinten, Charlie and Katie.)
