Tevens vermoed ik dat hij met zijn ouders in 1870-1871 naar Nederland is uitgeweken.
Binnen de familie Brüning werd verteld dat Jacob Brüning een neef is van Heinrich Brüning die van 1930-1934 Rijkskanselier van Duitsland.
