Op 4-2-1929 schrijft hij vanuit het Oude Mannenhuis, Heerenstraat te Semarang,Java, een brief naar burgemeester van Nispen om deze brief door te sturen naar Hein, ook weer voor inlichtingen omtrent zijn familie en vrienden in Laren. Deze brieven zijn bij de Hist.Kring Laren.
