In een telefoongesprek d.d. 9-2-1999 vertelde zijn mij over Jacques Corbey, de broer van haar moeder, die naar Buenos Aires was vertrokken. De hele familie heeft op een gegeven moment niets meer van hem gehoord. Zijn ouders waren zeer verdrietig over het feit, dat hij de geestelijkheid verlaten heeft. Dit is waarschijnlijk de reden, waarom hij naar Argentinië is gegaan. Daar trouwde hij en kreeg kinderen, die op een gegeven moment weer verlaten heeft. De moeder van zuster Sophia heeft hierom zeer veel verdriet gehad en is tot haar dood blijven speuren naar haar broer Jacques.
