Het bedrijf vervaardigde stalen buizen en was het enige op dit gebied in Nederland. het werd door twee contingenteringen beschermd, oud consul van oostenrijk en sinds 1922 lid van de Provinciale Staten, was 11 jaar lid van de gemaanetraad, wethouder van Maastricht en lid van de Hoge Raad van de Arbeid. Hij was mede-oprichter en lid van het dagelijks bestuur van de algemene R.K. Werkgeversvereniging, bestuurslid van de Vereniging van Raden van Arbeid, lid van de partijraad. Ridder in de Orde van de Heilige Gregorius de Grote en in de Kroonorde van Belgie..
