Frederik was doof aan zijn rechter oor, leeft alleen, ging tot zijn 18de naar school en woonde t/m 1942 in Nieuw Meerzorg. Vanaf 1942 tot in ieder geval 1950 woont hij in Paramaribo zonder adres.

Het feit dat deze man een zoon is van Ellens Blokland dus een kleinzoon van Gerrit Blokland zou heel goed kunnen bewijzen dat de moeder van Gerrit Blokland toch Frederika Hendrina Blokland geb. 1800 is. Zij kwam vrij middels een mannumissie.
Zij overleed in 1888 dus Ellens Blokland moet haar gekend hebben en zijn eerste zoon naar haar vernoemd hebben.
