In 1939 was TJC Lusink in opleiding bij de KMA in Breda.
Bij het uitbreken van de Tweede Wereldoorlog had hij de rang van cadet-sergeant.
In maart 1942 vroeg hij in Amsterdam een paspoort aan om naar Frankrijk te gaan.
(Vermoedelijk is hij via die route in Engeland terecht gekomen).
In maart 1944 ontving hij (in Londen) het Kruis van Verdienste als Engelandvaarder.
Hij sloot zich aan bij de Second Australian Imperial Force.
In mei 1945 verloofde hij zich met Loma Walker.
Na de oorlog woonde hij een aantal jaren met zijn vrouw en dochtertje in Amsterdam en Nijmegen.
Hij vertrok uiteindelijk met zijn vrouw en dochter naar Australië.
Daar heeft hij dienst gedaan bij de Royal Australian Air Force
Op 24 september 1954 werd hij genaturaliseerd. Adres toen: Wickham-road, Young, Nwe South Wales

Hij is op latere leeftijd rechten gaan studeren
Uiteindelijk is hij boer geworden.
