Johann Fegeli trouwde op 16 augustus 1791 in Bösingen met Elisabeth Clerc- Meyer (Huwelijksacte).
Als vader wordt vermeld de illustere en invloedrijke Petri de Fegeli uit Domdidier.
De overleden vader van Elisabeth, Anton Meyer kwam uit het Kanton Solothurn.
Volgens een brief van het Staatsarchief is dat mogelijk een verzinsel van Johann, omdat hij niet wordt gevonden in de stambomen van Fegeli. Daarom wordt vermoed dat hij het (naamloze) onwettige kind uit 1773 is dat in het register van "onechte kinderen" (1764-1812) wordt genoemd met deze ouders:
Joseph Clerc uit Rossens en moeder Elisabeth Godel, wonende in Domdidier.
Johan kan zowel een biologisch kind van Petri de Fegeli, een geadopteerde of buiten het huwelijk geboren zoon van Joseph Clerc, of een fantast zijn geweest
