    Bron: huwelijksakte zoon Johannes Plechelmus. Hierin staat dat de overlijdensdatum van de vader van de bruidegom wordt bepaald door een akte van bekendheid, verleden voor de heer Vrederechter van het kanton Roermond op 08/04/1820, waarin vermeld wordt (vrij vertaald uit het Frans):
    "op 8 april 1820 verschenen voor de vrederechter Antoine Luytgens:
    1À Pierre Neefs, 40 jaar oud, landbouwer te Mellick,
    2À Gerard Hommen, 21 jaar oud, landbouwer te Sint-Odiliënberg,
    3À Jean Baptiste Peters, veldwachter, 46 jaar oud, wonende te Sint-Odiliënberg,
    4À Jean Plechelmus Frenken, 29 jaar oud, landbouwer te Sint-Odiliënberg,
    5À Guillaume Frenken, 37 jaar oud,
    6À Corneil Van Kan, 46 jaar oud,
    7À Marie Agnes Van Melick, echtgenote van hogergenoemde Van Kan, 46 jaar oud,
    deze laatste drie landbouwers wonende te Melick.
    Welke comparanten unaniem en elk afzonderlijk verklaard hebben dat ze perfect en volledig op de hoogte zijn dat Wiro Frenken, bij leven timmerman te Sint-Odiliënberg, die ze allemaal goed gekend hebben, overleden is in de maand januari 1811 en gevonden werd te Roermond, verdronken in de rivier de Roer. De verklaring werd gegeven omdat de overlijdensakte van Wiro Frenken niet ingeschreven werd in de registers van Sint-Odiliënberg, noch in Roermond."

    Hij staat nochtans genoteerd als comparant die het overlijden van zijn zoon Joannes Petrus op 27/09/1811 komt aangeven.
