Antonius Johannes (Antonij) "geboortig uit Meenen (West-Vlaanderen) vestigt zich 26 juli 1782 in Leeuwarden. Burgerboek II der stad Leeuwarden, blad 685).
Hij kocht in 1790 't Staverder Veerhuis staande op het Aarden Walte (later Heerenwaltje) en verkocht dit weer in 1798 (groot consentboek 1790 ee 54 folio 114 en groot consentboek ee 57 folio 105).
Koop- en verkoopaktes aanwezig.
Voor zijn huwelijk woonde A.J. bij Jacobus Bakkers, Bij de Put te Leeuwarden, een slaapsteehouder.
Hij had op zijn kamer een kistje staan waarvan op een nacht het slot was opengebroken en een zakje met 18 guldens eruit ontvreemd. Dader nooit (......) gevonden.

Opzichter op het middel van het gemaal. Dit was een commis die was belast met het voorkomen van illegaal malen van meel. Hij was de gehele dag op de molen aanwezig en legde deze om 6 uur 's avonds aan de ketting en nam de sleutel mee naar huis.
N.B.:> Op zijn overlijdensaangifte wordt als leeftijd opgegeven "74 jaren".
Dit moet door de "geburen" fout zijn gedaan. Hij geeft zelf bij de geboorte van zijn laatste dochter, Juliana, in 1812 op "zeventig jaren" en dat klopt wel met zijn geboortejaar.
