Notes about Jan Gelmerzoon Buijtendijk

Jan kwam bij zijn ondertrouw uit Utrecht naar Kampen op 13-8-1717. Hij werd toen 'jonge man' van Utrecht genoemd.Hij was chirurgijn te Kampen. In 1720 en 1722 werd hij gildemeester. In 1721 werd hij olderman van het chirurgijnsgilde. Het huis van zijn schoonvader Nicolaas Sluijters werd na diens dood in 1727 door zijn dochters Alida Sluijters en Christina Sluijters en Jan Buijtendijk verkocht aan de moeder van Jan Johanna de Licht en haar derde man Gijsbert Cotenaar. Het huis lag achter het vleeschhuis tegenover de Vogelbanken in Kampen. Onroerend goed werd meestal aan familie of vrienden verkocht.
