Notes about Johan Marie (Hans) Brusse

J. M. (Hans) Brusse and his wife Nora lived in a full service guest-house at "Juliana van Stolberglaan" in The Hague at the time of Hans' father death in 1937.

According to the dutch book "De GPOe op de Overtoom" (published in 1989 by Igor Cornellissen), Hans Brusse was a Soviet agent and hitman working for the Russian Secret Services the GPO (the GPO later became the KGB).
The Russian master spy Walter Krivitsky (also mentioned in Peter Wright's book "Spycatcher" in 1987) knew the parents of Nora Jongert, and most likely recruted Hans Brusse as his helper.
Later when Krivitsky wanted out and broke with Moscow, he was afraid of his former helper, who he called "The Dutchman". Krivitsky said "The Dutchman" tried to kill him twice. Shortly before Krivitsky's death in 1941 in New York city, his old friend Paul Wohl told Krivitsky that he had seen "The Dutchman" in New York. Some of the New York newspapers mentioned the arrival of "The Dutchman Hans" in connection with the mysterious suicide or murder of the Russian spy Walter Krivitsky.

Hans Brusse and his wife Nora were last seen by Nora's sister Beatrice Jongert, in December 1937. Nora told her sister at this meeting that she and Hans were moving away for some time and that she should not worry or call the police.
Hans Brusse and Nora have never been seen again.

(Note from the autor: Rumors say Hans and Nora were killed by the KGB..........or that they moved to Czecho-Slovakia or Russia.........)
