Jacob Heekelaar, Schepen en Raad in de Vroetschap te Wormer, was eerst getrouwd geweest met Dieuwertje Claas Kuijper, een burgemeestersdochter. Lijsje was zijn tweede echtgenote. Na zijn overlijden werden Cornelis Coopman en Cornelis Kuijper, beiden burgemeester, tot voogd aangesteld over de enige zoon: Cornelis Jacobsz. Hekelaer (NA 5665, nr. 65, d.d. 7-6-1781, Wormer).
