Carl Fisscher arrived in Batavia in 1878 by ship "Barbersteing (VOC). He came from Weinwieler Germany. He embarked on 25 November 1787 as a soldier. In the grootboek he is mentioned as from 1788 in Padang until 1972 (NA VOC inv nr 13260, fo.206 e.v. scan nr 539). In the Register of 1823 Karel Fischer is mentioned as from Wenwiler, Duitschland, arriving in 1787 and 66 years of age (in 1823)). Carl Lodewijk Fisscher was born between 1755 and 1757. He died on 22 April 1838 in Padang, 83 years old. His parents unknown/not mentioned. Carl Lodewijk Fisscher married around 1815 with Sara Maria Londt born 1790 in Padang.
