Hij overleed te Schiedam circa 1978 en was ten tijde van zijn huwelijk kelner van beroep.
Op 24 december 1929 huwde hij te Hillegersberg met Anna Francina Elise GORES, geboren te Rotterdam op 23 januari 1911, dochter van Louis Andreus Gores en Anna Francina van Waning. Dit huwelijk werd door scheiding ontbonden te Rotterdam op 10 juli 1935.
Voorzover bekend werden uit dit huwelijk twee kinderen geboren.
