Treedt in in de congregatie van de zusters van O.L. Vrouw van Amersfoort op 17-9-1963. Zij wordt ingekleed op 19-3-1964 en neemt de kloosternaam aan van zuster Hendrina Maria. De kleine geloften doet zij aldaar op 5-3-1966, de grote geloften op 25-10-1975.
In de congregatie heet zij sinds 1974 Lidy. Vanaf 8-3-1966 was zij werkzaam in de kinderbescherming te Amersfoort, vanaf 1976 als vrijwilligster aldaar.
