Op 30 juni 1919 wordt Antje Radix ingeschreven in het bevolkingsregister van de gemeente Smilde. Ze was ongehuwd, Nederlands Hervormd. Ze werd ingeschreven in het dienstbodenregister op adres B.60. Ze was op 25 juni 1919 aangekomen, maar vertrok alweer op 16 september 1919 naar Ooststellingwerf (Appelscha). Bij aantekening staat de naam H. de Jonge (werkgever?).
Op 9 juli 1920 wordt Antje Radix uit Appelscha ingeschreven in de rolboeken van de arrondisements rechtbank van Heerenveen (bron: allefriezen, rol van strafzaken, Arrondissementsrechtbank Heerenveen, inventarisnr 121, aktenummer 222). Ze wordt beschuldigd van "art.15, Wetboek van Strafrecht: begraven van een lijk om de geboorte te verhullen". Als bewijsstuk werd er een cape opgevoerd. Uitspraak: 2 maanden gevangenisstraf.
Zouden haar kortstondige baantje in Smilde en het begraven van haar kindje met elkaar te maken hebben gehad?
Nog meer info, niet zeker of het om hetzelfde gaat: (Nieuws van de dag, 1-5-1920) "Kindermoord. Een ongehuwde, 22-jarige moeder te Appelscha (Fr.) heeft bekend het kind, waarvan zij bevallen was, in een geitenstal te hebben begraven."
Ook: (De courant, 29-4-1920) "Misdaad? Appelscha, 27 April. Door de politie is alhier gevonden het lijkje van een pasgeboren kind. Het lijkje was gewikkeld in kleedingstukken, in een mand gepakt en in een schuur begraven. Op vermoeden, dat het kind een gewelddadigen dood is gestorven, is het lijkje opgezonden naar Heerenveen, ter gerechtelijke schouwing".
En: Franeker Courant, 30-4-1920: "De vorige week was een 20-jarig meisje te Appelscha buitenechtelijk bevallen. Het kind bleek echter verdwenen te zijn. Aan de politie, die de zaak in handen nam, verklaarde het meisje, dat ze na de geboorte zelf het kind in den geitenstal bij haar woning had begraven. Het lijkje, dat inderdaad op de aangewezen plaats op 1 M. diepte onder den gebanen grond werd gevonden, is in beslag genomen en gekist naar de Arr.-Rechtbank te Heerenveen opgezonden."
