Boxma, beter bekend als "moeder Boxma", verzorgde van 1916 tot 1931 de verpleegden in het vroegere armwerkhuis der Ned. Hervormde Gemeente alhier. Zij vervulde deze taak met eenvoudige toewijding, geheel overeenkomstig den aard der omgeving van het oude huis. Toen in 1931 de Angelinostichting tot stand kwam en het oude huis verdween, kreeg het echtpaar Boxma meteen de welverdiende rust en droeg moeder Boxma heur plichten over aan een jongere kracht. Thans is zij heengegaan, vóór meerderen der oudjes, die zij zoolang verpleegde en die haar in dankbare herinnering houden. Morgenmiddag om één uur heeft de teraardebestelling plaats."
