Ik ben een kleinzoon van B.J. Bakker. Hij is door een tragisch ongeluk (op fiets aangereden door een vrachtauto) overleden op 29-10-1951. Hij had twee zoons uit zijn huwelijk met Antonia Boekweit (Boekwijt) t.w. "Gerardus" geboren 29-5-1907 en Hendrikus Theodorus geboren 30-5-1912 (mijn vader). De relatie van mijn vader met zijn vader en tweede vrouw was verre van ideaal. Ik heb geen informatie over die tweede vrouw en haar kinderen.
