Ik heb een kopie van de akte. Jan Jakob is boekbinder. Zijn schoonvader,Fredrik van Altveer is er niet bij, zijn schoonmoeder, Mientje Adeleit van Brederode wel en zijn ouders ook. Vader Maarten Benschop is metselaar. Fredrik van Altveer is smid. Moeder en schoonmoeder hebben geen beroep. De afkondigingen (aankondigingen) van het huwelijk waren op 12 en 19 november 1911. Er was geen verhindering. (geen bezwaar) De ouders van de bruidegom wonen in 1911 in Amsterdam. De schoonouders ook.
Getuigen waren: Daniël van Brederode, 65, (11-3-1846) (oom van de bruid?)koopman uit Amsterdam. / Jarrie Smit, 55, koopman uit Alphen. / Arie Cornelis Benschop, 29, winkelier uit Den Haag, broer van de bruidegom./ Maarten Benschop, 27, bouwkundige uit Amsterdam, broer van de bruidegom.
Ik heb ook een kopie van de gezinskaart en daaruit haalde ik de geboortedata van de kinderen. Bij Jan Jakob staat ook als beroep winkelier. In dit gezin woonde ook een tijdje de schoonmoeder, Mientje Adeleit van Brederode met Daniël van Brederode, een familielid. Verder Daniël van Altveer(15-7-1871), een familielid van de bruid. Als adressen zie je o.a. Van Speijkstraat en de Admiraal de Ruijterweg. Ook in Zwanenburg gewoond. Later hoorde ik dat ze ook op Kattenburg 1 hebben gewoond en dat ze wel 18 keer verhuisd zijn.
NB: Berendina moest Frederik van Altveer 100 gulden betalen, om via zijn handtekening toestemming voor het huwelijk te krijgen. Die Daniël van Brederode is niet haar oom, maar haar natuurlijke vader, want voor haar geboorte was haar moeder al samen met Daniël en had ze Frederik verlaten.

Notes about Jan Jacob Benschop

Hij had een handwerkzaak met breierij, in Amsterdam-Noord. Eigenlijk was zijn vrouw Berendina daar de baas, want zij was lerares fraaie en nuttige handwerken. Ook Daniël van Brederode en Mientje van Brederode woonden daar. Jan Jacob werkte bij de Twentshe Bank en later bij de Amsterdamse Bank. Zijn pensioen kwam van de Amrobank. Daarnaast gaf hij 's avonds les in boekbinden op een ambachtsschool.

Adressen op archiefkaart: o.a. Admiraal de Ruyterweg 152 2 hoog. Ook: Ter Hooge 9, 1 hoog en Nieuw Herlaer 2 in 1876.
