Theodorus overleed jong, dus de drie broers werden grotendeels door hun opa en oma (Ietje en Casper) opgevoed, zodat Hebelina kon gaan werken.

Hebelina woonde in de Wijttenbachstraat 41 hs in Amsterdam, met haar ouders. Van haar kleindochter, Cecile ter Borgh-Stam, vernam ik dat. Ook vertelde zij dat overgrootmoeder Ietje Hemrika een nogal dominante vrouw was met wel een groot gevoel voor humor.
