Bij zijn inschrijving in het doopregister verschijnt voor het eerst de naam Goede. De grafstede van het echtpaar bevindt zich te midden van de vloerbedekking van de Nederlands Hervormde kerk te Landsmeer, dicht bij het podium. Hij was burgemeester van Landsmeer in 1744, 1747 en 1750. In 1743 zat hij in de schepenbank. Hij was vroetschap van 1733 t/m 1738 en kerkmeester in 1739.
N.B. Van de familie Goede heb ik nog veel meer kinderen en voorouders, waaronder burgemeesters. Mijn bron was o.a. het familieboek van de familie Goede, dat ik mocht lenen.
