Zijn vader, Eelke Sytzes Hemrica (op deze akte ook met een k) is overleden en zijn moeder Hebeltje Huismais er wel. Ze is zonder beroep en woont in Drachten. Rinske is dienstbode en woont in Hinenum. Haar vader, Jan Sjoukes Glas is arbeider en haar moeder, Maaike Hendriks Bleeker is zonder beroep. De afkondigingen van het huwelijk waren op de zondagen 25 augustus en 1 september in Harlingen, maar ook in Smallingerland en in Barradeel, zonder stuiting. Getuigenwaren Roelof van der Meulen (46) en Jan Dreijer , commiesen van de secretarie van Harlingen. Ook getuigen waren Hedde Weertsma (47) en Jan Postma (45) , beide stadsboden uit Harlingen.
