    Plas, Cornelius L. Grand Rapids, MI Cornelius Lee Plas, age 96, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids, son of Joseph and Johanna Plas. He is survived by his wife Ann; his daughters Patricia (Bob) and Jana (Vince); his stepchildren, Bob (Andrea), Libby, Lynn (Mark), Leah (Chris), and Blythe (Jim); his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He earned an aeronautical engineering degree from U-M, served as WWII Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps, and was a successful retail foods businessman. In his spare time, he was a passionate sports fan (Go Blue!) and car nut. Lee's faith in God was inspiring. He loved the Lord, sharing that love with those around him. His strong, calm demeanor exemplified his faith. In church leadership positions, he supported many ministries and missions. Anyone who knew him, knew his heart's focus and the joy he felt doing God's work. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 11 AM, at Christ Memorial Church (595 Graafschap Rd., Holland), with Dr. Timothy Brown officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, from 4-6 PM, at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI). Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Home, Western Theological Seminary, or Christ Memorial Church.
