    ZICHTERMAN, ARNOLD Arnold Zichterman, age 90, of Jenison, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2013, peacefully at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Adriana Zichterman; his sister, Gladys (Eugene) Crater and his son-in-law, Gary Schuur. Arnold will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Connie Zichterman (VanderMarkt); his children, Gary (Nancy) Zichterman, Pat Schuur, Gene (Joan) Zichterman, Rick (Joan) Zichterman and Ron Zichterman; his 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; his in-laws, Arlene and Gerald VandenBerg and Joyce VanderMarkt; and many nieces and nephews. Arnold served his country during WWII as a part of the US Army where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. When he returned home he worked at Kelvinator for 34 years. He also loved tinkering, working around the house and spending time with his family. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Arnold's family will be held 5 to 8 PM Friday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 27, at Cook Memorial Chapel (east) building with visitation prior to the service beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. In honor of Arnold, contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or Holland Hospice. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guestbook online at www.cookcares.com.
