    Henrietta “Etta” Potter, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 a day before her 94th birthday at the Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake Township. She was born February 19, 1918 to Robert and Grace Cook in Grand Haven. Etta married Steven L. Potter on April 20, 1943 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1967. Etta worked for the Grand Haven Schools and was a member of Second Reformed Church. Etta loved reading, cooking and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Ken) Manglos; son, Richard (Rebecca) Potter both of Grand Haven; daughter-in-law, Michelle Potter of Grand Haven; six grandchildren, Steven and Shawn Potter, Kristen (Brandon) VanDerKolk Jessica (Casper) Hamlet, Michael (Laura) Potter, Katie Potter; two great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (Henry) Baker of Grand Haven; brother, Peter Bol of Grand Haven and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Potter, sisters, Edith Ohlendorf, Irene Baker and her brother, Robert Bol. The funeral service for Etta will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February, 22, 2012, at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Lary Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Robinson Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen.
