Zij maakte zich gehaat door haar herhaaldelijk ingrijpen in de landspolitiek van Hongarije, het bevorderen van de Duitse invloed aldaar en door haar geldzucht. Toen haar gemaal wegens een veldtocht afwezig was, werd zij in 1213 door Hongaarse edelen vermoord, zoals diverse Oostenrijkse, Boheemse en Duitse bronnen melden, op 'IX Kalendas Octobris', dus 28 sep.
