Wordt tijdens de paleisrevolutie die na de begunstiging van haar zoon Karel plaatsvindt, gevangen gezet in het Ragegundisklooster te Poitiers in het begin van 830, maar komt weer vrij en wordt na een reinigingseed hersteld. Wordt opnieuw ten val gebracht in 833 en dan opgesloten in het klooster Tortona in Noord-Italië, maar komt weer vrij in 834.
