Elisabeth wordt geboren als 6e kind en als 2e dochter uit het huwelijk tussen Koert Alberts Zuiderweg406 en Annechien Garmts Kielema.
Ze trouwt met Lupko Heideman, zoon van Driewes Roelfs en Pieterke Smid. Hij wordt op 30 mei 1854 geboren in Westerlee in de gemeente Scheemda. Zijn ouders wonen daar bij zijn huwelijk nog steeds.
Lupko wordt bij de Nationale Militie vrijgesteld als zijnde "eenige zoon".
Het huwelijk wordt in 1892 wegens scheiding ontbonden. Als reden hiervoor wordt - in het vonnis van 20 april 1892, ingeschreven dd 22 augustus 1892 van de Arrondissementsrechtbank te Winschoten - opgenomen een, door Elisabeth gepleegd overspel.

Op 12 augustus 1895 hertrouwt Elisabeth met Jakob Kroese.
Deze is geboren op 1 maart 1866 te Nieuwe Pekela als zoon van Garbrand Kroese en Hindrikje Piest Hij woont bij zijn huwelijk, net als deze ouders, ook in deze plaats. Bij de opgave van de inschrijving voor de Nationale Militie geeft hij als beroep "arbeider" op. Hij krijgt vrijstelling als zijnde "eenige zoon". Desondanks gaat hij in dienst als plaatsvervanger voor een ander.
Bij haar tweede huwelijk wordt in de huwelijksbijlagen een stuk aangetroffen waarbij o.m. gesteld wordt, dat het overspel is gepleegd " voornamelijk met knechten in dienst der eischer, zoo onder anderen in 1887 en 1888 met Berend Mooibroek, in 1889 met Jan Boer en in 1891 met Sietze Rijk en de ...." enz.
Deze hebben als getuigen een en ander bevestigd.
De kosten van het proces, zijnde ƒ 125, 12½ komen voor rekening van de gedaagde.
