Notes about Carel van Riet

Hij is geboren en Geref.ged. te Steen­bergen op 16 novem­ber 1815. Doopheffer waren Nicolaas van Meel,logementhouder en Cornelis van Oefelen, tapper. Hij werd Mr.timmerman en aannemer en vestigde zich in Rotterdam. Hij trouwde te Bemmel op 7 april 1837 met, Antje van Beek, N.H.-gedoopt te Elst op 10 november 1811. Zij was de dochter van Jan van Beek (R.K.) en Antje Berends. Carel wordt door onze genealoog de Stamvader van de "Rotterdamsche Tak" genoemd. Carel overleed te Rotterdam op 25 september 1861 en Antje overleed te Rotterdam op 25 december 1891.
