    Zij werden terechtgesteld voor een actie van een andere verzetsgroep. Deze had een aanslag op een Duitse soldaat gepleegd. De bezetter haalde hierop als represaille vijf verzetsmensen uit de gevangenis in Utrecht en fusilleerde hen op deze plaats.

André is op 5 oktober gearresteerd door de SD en kwam uiteindelijk in de gevangenis aan het Wolvenplein in Utrecht terecht. Is samen met 4 andere personen op 14 november 1944 gefusilleerd te Renswoude als represaille op de mislukte aanslag op een Duits militair door de plaatselijke Knokploeg. De geëxecuteerden hadden niets met deze aanslag te maken. André was vader van twee zoons waarvan er één nog leeft in Zweden.
