Bartolomeus Blokland en Johanna Umans hebben in de veenkolonie Ommerschans gezeten (https://www.kolonienvanweldadigheid.eu) en later nog een poosje in Veenhuizen ze hebben daar 3 kinderen gekregen waarvan een tweeling. Een van de tweeling is na 6 maanden overleden en hun dochtertje met 1 haar. Ik heb op de site van Ommerschans een brief gevonden waarin Bartholomeus zich vrijwillig meldt om opgenomen te worden bij de maatschappij van weldadigheid. Het is wel apart dat juist een dochter van hun trouwt met de zoon van een dochter van den bosch ( Graaf Johannes van den Bosch was de oprichter van de maatschappij van weldadigheid) zijn broer is de schoonvader van Lena Kaatje.
