Loved father of John (Marcia), George (Mary Lyn), Frank (Jane), Mary Picard (Paul), Lydia Skoreyko (Richard), Regina Vinge (Donald) and Paul Stevers. Proud grandpa of David (Mary), Thomas (Kyoko), Michelle (Juan), Michael (Kathy), Mary Anne (Patrick), Veronica, Matthew (Julie), Joe (Sonya), Angela, Brian (Femke), Tim (Carolyn), Jeremy, Christopher, Mark, Theresa (Peter), Sister Maria Jacinta, Jamez (Tanzel), Bernadette (Bob), Louis (Isabelle), Rose Anna (Justin), Dominic, Johanna (Tye), Elena (Achim), Stephanie, Nicholas, Christine (Paul), Derek (Amber), Karl, Lisa, and by several great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Ans Konijn (Ber), a brother Hein Stevers (Tiny) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sons Christopher and Harry, by daughters-in-law Carmelita and Margaret Stevers, by brothers Jan, Theo, Piet and sisters Truis and Cok. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 1715 Dundas Street East, London, on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kinkora, followed by a reception at the Kinkora Community Centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church or Stratford and District Right To Life and may be made through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
