Fr. Piet de Graaff, geboren in Haarlem op 14 september 1907 en Priester gewijd op 17 juli 1932 in Mill Hill door Bisschop Jan Biermans, Algemeen Overste. In 1932 vertrok hij naar het Vicariaat van de Boven NIjl in Oeganda en werkte daar tot 1963. Inmiddels werd het Vicariaat gesplitst en werkte hij in het Vicariaat van Tororo en later het Diocees van Tororo.
In 1963 werd hij benoemd voor het Diocees van Ngong in Kenia waar hij heeft gewerkt tot hij zich in 1970 terug trok in het St. Jozef Broederhuis in Arnhem. In 1975 verhuisde hij naar Milheeze (Boekel). Hij overleed in Oosterbeek in 1995 op de leeftijd van 87 jaar.
