Zij heeft daar Opa Schot (1906-1993) leren kennen, door dat zijn zus Neeltje Schot bij de buren diende en het contact ontstond. Is in 1931 getrouwd in Rotterdam, kreeg daar 2 kinderen, Simon enPiet. Hebben gewoond Meiendaal 55. Zijn in 1936 naar Krommenie verhuisd, Militairewg 82,waar in 1946 Wim isgeboren. In 1954 naar de Landzichtlaan 63 verhuisd. Moeder heeft in december 1970 een beroerte gekregen en is na een lange lijdensweg op 9 maart 1971 overleden,in het ziekenhuis te Zaandam.
