Notes about Thomas Sijmensma

Als wees is hij in 1920 naar een klooster of jongensschool in Dreumel gegaan.
Daar is hij opgeleid tot priester waarna hij ook nog een opleiding in een Frans klooster in Parijs heeft gevolgd.
Na uitzending naar Frans-Polynesië Tahiti of Haiti als missionaris, kwam hij terug naar Nederland, waar hij als leraar Frans aan de slag wilde.
Omdat hij geen werk kon vinden is hij uiteindelijk bij de KNIL terecht gekomen.
Hij is gestorven als POW in Apalon, Taungdwingy en herbegraven op de cemetery van Thanbyuzayat Vak D 2 Rij J Nr 10
