Notes about Jacob Bertou

Tijdens geboorte van oudste zoon was Jacob in dienst bij de Gele Rijders; mocht derhalve niet trouwen. Zoon is bij later huwelijk alsnog gewettigd. Jacob bracht met een paard en wagen petroleum rond in verschillende dorpen en was petroleumhandelaar bij de oliemaatschappij N.V. Maatschap de Aotomaat. Later moest ook het hooi met een vrachtwagen rondgebracht worden. Hierbij viel Jacob bij de Doeschenburgse draai van de met hooi geladen vrachtwagen en verongelukte.
