Van de lijn van Cornelis Beerentsz van Engelenburch (1686-1752) blijft in de zesde generatie maar één tak over, die zich via Gouda in Velp (Gld) vestigt. Cornelis wordt voor het eerst met de familienaam Van Engelenburg aangeduid op 11 april 1725 in een aantekening in het Veenraadschapsarchief over een geschil, dat hij heeft met Fredrik Otten over het schoonmaken van een sloot tussen hun beider land.
