Zegel: Een ovaal schild, beladen met een schepenmerk, bestaande uit twee palen, waarvan de eerste een keper ondersteunt, welks
been den linkerpaal snijdt; van dit snijpunt gaat een dwarsbalkje naar het rechterbeen van den keper.

Goswinus van Aerssen, ged. 22 juli 1616, overl. 21 febr. 1675, was een zoon van Tilmannus van Aerssen, stadstollenaar, en van Petronella Ingenraey.
Hij wer 13 jan. 1658 tot provisor van het St. jacobs oude man- en vrouwengasthuis aangesteld, naast den schepen Johan Diester, was regerend
burgemeester in 1671 en 1672. Hij huwde 22 okt. 1650 met Dymphna van Arenbergh (ged. 15-1-1626, over. 21-1-1692), dochter van Joannes Baptista
van Arenbergh en van Mechtildis Ingenraey, die hem zeven kinderen schonk.
