-- Volgens de bevolkingsregister van de gemeente Ter Aar wonen Jacobus Lek en Adrian Maria van der Zwaan in huwelijksperiode achtereenvolgens in wijk A nr. 8; daarna op nr. 2, weer enige tijd later op A nr. 129. Op 31-10-1934 verhuizen ze met hun oudste dochter Erlanda voor enige jaren naar Voorschoten. In ieder geval zijn ze (weer) in Ter Aar in de beginjaren van de oorlog, want dan wordt hun zoon Henk geboren. Dan gaan ze in Aardam in wijk C nr. 46 wonen; dit is de boerdrij waar 'tegenwoordig' de heer Houdijk met echtgenote Suzanne Zijerveld de scepter zwaait (bron: bevolkingsregister periode 1920-1940, folio 229, GA-Ter Aar).
-- Weer dààrna verhuizen ze naar de Kerkbuurt, om en nabij de drukkerij van Valk. In de jaren '70 betrekken zij de woning van Jaap Valentijn, gehuwd Den Dubbelden, aan de Oostknaalkade (bron: L.P. van Kessel).
