Notes about jarig jans

Waarschijnlijk trouwde Jarig met Lolkje Bonnes ca 1743 in Terhorne. Zijn vrouw woonde toen in een huis van haar vader en Jarig trok bij haar in. Zij erfden dit huis in 1757 en bleven er tot hun dood wonen. In 1774 kocht hij een huis, waarin zijn zoon Jan woonde. Jarig was smakschipper; van 1752 tot 1761 op "De Hoop ende Liefde". In 1748 weigerde hij zijn scheepsvolk aan te geven voor belasting naar de Vijf Speciën. In 1763 verleende hij kwijting op gecedeerde vordering op wed. Pieter Hobbes (broer van Anne Hobbes).
