    Son acte de sépulture du 31 juillet 1780 le dit âgé de 73 ans, ce qui correspond à celui baptisé en 1707, mais cela reste léger pour exclure de manière certaine celui de 1708.

    Si l'on regarde la descendance connue de Henri d'Affnay et d'Anne Marie Wicken :

    - Ils ont eu trois fils : Jean, Henri et Jacques

    - L'aîné, Jean, a eu six fils : Henri, Jean Jacques, Balthasar, Chrétien, Jacques et Arnold Henri

    - La descendance des deux cadets est inconnue

    Or parmi toute cette descendance, on ne retrouve pas le prénom Philippe, qui est le prénom du père du Henri d'Affnay né en 1708. Par contre on y retrouve à chaque génération le prénom Jean, qui est le prénom du père du Henri d'Affnay né en 1707.

    En outre, le Henri d'Affnay né en 1707 a pour frère Chrétien d'Affnay, alors que Jean d'Affnay, le fils du Henri époux d'Anne Marie Wicken, appelle l'un de ses enfants Chrétien. Cela s'explique si les deux Henri sont la même personne : Jean aurait donné à son fils le prénom de son oncle.

    Ces faits onomastiques confirment, selon moi, que l'âge donné dans l'acte de sépulture d'Henri d'Affnay est correct et qu'il est bien la même personne que celui baptisé en 1707
