Hello Gerard, I have been researching my family name "Bettaney" and it seems we all descend from a Dutchman "Ricardus Batony" b.1630 in Antwerp, who went to England. His father was Severinus Severs Batony (sometimes seen as Baten) b.1606 in Wouw, NL. His mother was Janneken Michiels. Do you know anything about Ricardus from your Baten family research?
