    Het huis Lusignan is een dynastie afkomstig uit Poitou, die de graven La Marche, van Angoulême en de koningen van Jeruzalem, van Cyprus en Armenië geleverd heeft. Volgens de legende zouden zij afstammen van Raymondinus en de meermin Melusinea.
