    Frederick II, Count of Dießen (also known as Frederick I of Regensburg, 1030 – 1075 in Sankt Blasien Abbey in the Black Forest) was a German nobleman. He acted as Vogt of the cathedral chapter of Regensburg. He is one of the earliest known members of his family.
    Life

    His father was Count Frederick I of Dießen (d. c.?1030), who administered the area around Dießen and Haching. His mother was Hemma, a daughter of Conrad I, Duke of Swabia.

    He became vogt of the cathedral chapter of Regensburg in 1035. In 1055, he became Count in the Sempt area.

    He died in 1075, as a lay brother in the Sankt Blasien Abbey in the Black Forest.

    Friedrich I. von Regensburg (* 1030; † 1075 in St. Blasien) war Domvogt von Regensburg.

    Er ist identisch mit Graf Friedrich II. von Dießen und gilt als einer der ältesten nachweisbaren Vertreter seiner Linie. Sein Vater war Graf Friedrich I. († um 1030), der das Gebiet um Dießen und Haching verwaltete, seine Mutter war Hemma, Tochter von Kuno von Öhningen.

    Friedrich war dreimal verheiratet; zunächst mit Hadamut (1060), Tochter von Eberhard von Eppenstein, dann in zweiter Ehe mit Irmgard von Gilching und zuletzt mit Tuta, Erbtochter des Domvogtes Hartwig I. von Regensburg.

    Im Jahr 1035 wurde er Domvogt von Regensburg und 1055 Graf an der Sempt. Er starb 1075 als Laienmönch in St. Blasien.
