    Lambert I van Chalon (gestorven Chalon, 22 februari 978) was een zoon van Robrecht, burggraaf van Autun, en van Ingeltrudis. Volgens sommige bronnen was hij bisschop van Chalon. Koning Lotharius stelde hem in 968 aan tot graaf van Chalon en Lambert werd de eerste der erfelijke graven van Chalon. Hij was gehuwd met Adelheid van Troyes, dochter van Robert I van Meaux, zijn voorganger als graaf. Lamberts broer Robrecht, was zijn vice-graaf. Hij steunde hertog Hendrik I van Bourgondië als vazal bij het beleg van Vesoul. In 973 stichtte hij het klooster van Parai-le-Monial in Charolais. Hij werd als graaf van Châlon opgevolgd door zijn echtgenote.

    Zijn zoon Hugo werd geestelijke en nadien graaf van Chalon en van Auxerre
