    Robert I van Meulan, van Beaumont (1050 - 1118) was een zoon van Rogier van Beaumont en van Adela van Meulan. In 1081 werd hij graaf van Meulan in opvolging van zijn moeder.

    Robert vergezelde Willem de Veroveraar in 1066 in de slag bij Hastings. Hendrik I van Engeland maakte hem in 1107 tot eerste graaf van Leicester. Robert werd in zijn tijd beschouwd als één der meest wijze mannen. Hij was een belangrijk raadgever van de Engelse koningen.

    Robert huwde Elisabeth (Isabella), dochter van Hugo I van Vermandois, (met de inbreng van Elbeuf als bruidsschat/erfdeel) en was de vader van:
