    De zalige Emma, of Hemma, (808 - Regensburg 31 januari 876) werd in 827 te Regensburg echtgenote van Lodewijk de Duitser. Zij was een dochter van graaf Welf I en de zus van keizerin Judith. Aangezien deze Judith gehuwd was met Lodewijk de Vrome, de schoonvader van Emma, was Judith niet alleen haar zus, maar ook haar stiefschoonmoeder. Emma kreeg in 874 een beroerte en was als gevolg daarvan verlamd. Ze overleed in 876 en werd begraven in het klooster van St Emmeran in Regensburg.

    Haar feestdag is op 31 januari.
