    Raymond V van Toulouse (1134 - 1194) was een zoon van Alfons Jordaan van Toulouse en van Faydiva van Uzés. Bij de start van zijn regering, diende Raymond Hendrik II van Engeland te bestrijden, die als hertog van Aquitanië, Toulouse wilde innemen. Hij werd daarbij door de koning van Frankrijk gered. Raymond moest wel een bepaalde Engels-Aquitaanse heerschappij aanvaarden en diende verder voortdurend strijd te leveren tegen Provence, Savoye en Oranje om zijn gebieden. Hij werd een tijdje geëxcommuniceerd omdat hij als aanhanger van de tegenpausen, onder meer de Albigenzenbeweging steunde. Toch betekende zijn regering een hoogtepunt voor zijn dynastie.
